Longue Vue House and Gardens

I cannot believe I have lived in New Orleans for 10 years and just stepped foot here last week. It is a complete and total hidden gem. Totally breathtaking. Wonderfully managed. A real treat. And, all within City limits. We are so spoiled to have this here! Also worth mentioning that my toddler absolutely loved exploring the entire 8 acres, digging in the discovery garden, and watching The fountains. A brilliant way to wear out little bodies.

We got the 4pm tour of the mansion with Ty, and he was passionate about the house and knowledgeable about a lot of minute details. He was patient with our questions and we did not feel rushed. After we left, we were walking to our next spot and Baty offered us a ride ! She was very kind. During our chat, it was clear that Baty is invested in community advocacy and equity. She is doing good work here !! The team at LV is dedicated to educating at every age, and making it accessible to a wider community. I wish them well and hope they meet their visitor goals!!

Longue Vue House & Gardens was one of the best historic homes we visited in New Orleans. It really feels like stepping back in time, and the house is so well preserved it looks like the family still lives there. The gardens were beautiful too. This was one of our first stops on the trip and it was a great way to start our time in New Orleans. Highly recommend visiting!

The tickets are best purchased from the house in advance. Very interesting. Impressive custom design and custom artisan work such as curved doors, windows, and staircases. Gardens are extensive and well kept. Very peaceful with seating in every "room."

Incredible experience at the Longue Vue House. We toured the garden on our own which was beautiful but a little underwhelming due to the winter season. We had a private tour of the home which was so full of history & beauty. My husband is the history buff & I love home decor & this was so enjoyable for both of us. Every room was impeccable & timeless.
