San Ysidro Ranch

My husband and I decided to do a little staycation after coming here a few times to eat and enjoying that experience… it was the best! Everyone is so nice, remembered that I don’t eat meat / had food ready to recommend, would remember our cabin name etc. the spa was fantastic - I had a massage that was so relaxing. The property itself is just so peaceful. We booked another 2 nights in a few months and are considering coming back even sooner lol. Considering the level of service and getting every meal included, I really feel it’s a phenomenal deal to get to stay here.

Disappointing Luxury Experience: Birthday Ruined by Unannounced Event & Poor Management At nearly $4,000 a night, you expect peace, exclusivity, and impeccable service. Unfortunately, our stay at San Ysidro Ranch fell completely short due to a massive private wedding that effectively took over the entire property on one of our nights. We were never informed prior to booking—or even at check-in—that a wedding would be taking place, let alone that it would monopolize the grounds, disrupt the atmosphere, and severely dilute the level of service available to other paying guests. I booked this stay to celebrate my birthday, but instead of a serene, high-end getaway, our evening was completely overshadowed and derailed by an event that dominated the property. When we brought these significant disruptions to management, the response from Henry, one of the managers, was completely unacceptable. Rather than demonstrating empathy or accountability, he was dismissive, defensive, and entirely robotic. To add insult to injury, the property's only gesture of resolution was comping my birthday cake, flowers and and balloons, while refusing to offer any meaningful compensation for a ruined night and a heavily devalued stay. For a property charging top-tier rates, the lack of transparency, total loss of intimacy, and cold, defensive management are inexcusable. Prospective guests paying luxury prices deserve to know if the property they are paying for will actually be available to them. I would strongly advise asking hard questions about private events before booking here.

Me, my boyfriend, and his whole family attending Adam and Lauren's wedding a couple weeks ago, and we were BLOWN AWAY with how GORGEOUS this location was! The cottages all felt very roomy and had a sense of Whimsy that I absolutely loved. AND outdoor jacuzzis?! Amazing! It was so peaceful! All of the staff was very attentive and kind, and I felt they were doing amazing jobs at keeping the ranch spotless and flourished! They cleaned our rooms a couple times a day and they were so generous with organizing our thrown about luggage haha! Im so happy Lauren is apart of this crazy and loving family, and this was the perfect place for their ceremony! Everyone had fun and I hope I can one day visit this ranch again! 100000/10!!!! (And the food was awesome! I need lemon ricotta pancakes everyday)

Upon celebrating my one-year anniversary, I had not previously experienced this particular dining style, but the establishment's staff provided an exemplary introduction. We received a warm welcome upon arrival, and the service throughout was marked by professionalism and courtesy of the highest order. Initially, the ambiance presented somewhat intimidatingly, yet our waiter, Francisco, mitigated any apprehensions through his attentive and kindly demeanor. The wait staff's diligence further elevated our experience, addressing our needs while fostering convivial interactions. Their dedication played a significant role in our enjoyment of the occasion, allowing us to fully engage in the celebration. The impeccably manicured gardens served as a stunning setting, providing ample opportunities for photographs. Given the outstanding service and ambiance, I unequivocally recommend this venue for special occasions, awarding it a perfect 10/10 rating. This indeed proved to be an unforgettable celebration.

The San Ysidro Ranch is truly one of the most beautiful places in Santa Barbara. I can’t say enough good things about this place. Truly first class experience from checkin to checkout. Exceptional service and a wonderful place to visit. I love the charm of their gardens and restraunts and quite unic. I feel like a disconnected from the world.
