Venetsanos Winery

The wine tasting was really nice. Their dessert wine was incredible! It tasted so good! It was our favorite. I love how informative the tour was, too. We learned a lot about wine here and are grateful for it. The view is breathtaking. I highly recommend stopping by, having some good wine, and learning about the arid climate of Santorini.

Stopped there today for a wine tasting and food pairing as part of a cruise tour. This place is delightful. The wines were amazing, especially their rosè blend. Whomever is producing their food is absolutely gifted. The staff was kind and welcoming. One of the best moments of this vacation. Highly recommend.

This winery lunch was a highlight of my trip, nothing beats sipping local wines (Assyrtiko, Mandilaria, Aidani and their sweet wine Vinsanto) against that breathtaking, panoramic sea view and caldera cliffs. One point to note that the first three wines (white and rosé) were poured all at once. In this beautiful warm weather, they reached room temperature quite quickly. It would have been perfect if they were served one by one to maintain the ideal temperature. Overall, the experience and that stunning scenery made it well worth it.

A tip from our hotel staff that turned into one of the highlights of the trip. Venetsanos is a historic winery perched right on the caldera cliff, and the setting alone would justify the visit. But we did the full program: a guided tour through the winery’s history and winemaking process, a tasting session, and then a bottle of wine on the terrace watching the sun go down over the caldera. If you lean toward dry and semi-dry wines, the quality here is genuinely good. It made for a perfect last evening on the island; unhurried, beautiful, and a little different from the usual Santorini dinner-and-view formula. Two practical notes: booking ahead is recommended, and come having eaten something. The terrace offers cheese and charcuterie plates but nothing more substantial, so this is wine-and-views rather than a meal out.

We had our wedding at Venetsanos Winery and it was a truly beautiful experience. The venue itself is spectacular, with an amazing view that really impressed our guests, and the sunset created such a special atmosphere. The wines were one of the highlights of the evening. There was a great selection and variety, and everything we tried was excellent. Our guests really enjoyed the wine, and it added a lot to the overall experience of the dinner and celebration. The staff were also friendly, professional, and always ready to help with anything we needed. One small but thoughtful detail was that they provided blankets later in the evening when it became a bit chilly, which our guests really appreciated. Overall, we are very happy we chose Venetsanos Winery for our wedding. Highly recommended, and a big thank you to the whole team.
